How to choose pool coping material: pros and cons of each material

The coping covers around the pool, not only using to prevent water in the pool from reaching the lakeside area, but also avoiding the pollution of the pool water by nearby land. Brick is likely the best option to complete the swimming pool for the owners with tight budgets. They are bonded to the place  through mortar or cement. The bricks have abundant sizes, shapes, details, patterns that meet all customer needs. They are also hand-made with complex designs or create a picture of a living space around the pool. Pros: easy to replace if they are cracked or damaged, varied in design choices, easy to combine with the landscape.

 

Cons: Color changes, damage after a period of use. They are affected by surrounding temperature, it may be too cold or hot.

 

 

Wood

 

Wood is another option to consider, especially a seaside pool, to create a space close to nature. Can use external protecting materials for wood, that prevent wood from negative external effects. If wood is used, it is vitally important that owners check the coping regularly and have a maintenance plan to increase the life of the coping pool.

 

Pros: Warm, natural, high aesthetic.

 

Cons: easy to crack and absorb water; taking a lot of effort and costs to maintain.
